The OneBusAway open source project is a suite of tools that interprets and distributes information obtained from GTFS scheduling data and realtime feeds. The project is very robust, and the deployment process is very complicated. This is particularly true for individuals who are not used to compiling and setting up J2EE applications. Needing to spin up an OBA instance for another project, and not having clear instructions to follow, I figured out the entire process, wrote this deployment guide and published it to the project's wiki for the OpenSource community.
